5 Great Ideas to Improve Your Website!
Content is King when it comes to websites. Content can come in various forms. I love to blog. I love to write articles. Now I am adding videos and Google Hangouts to my content. I took this blog post from Nice Profit classroom. Great Information to share and grow your business.
Did you know that content consists of more than just articles and words? Content encompasses many forms of online media and your websites aren’t limited to just one type.
Google loves content…all forms of it! This is why it’s important that you have a firm grasp on what you can add to your website and internet marketing campaigns to extend your influence and grow your brand on the web.
5 Great Ideas Below:
If you want to branch out into the extensive area of content marketing and improve the appearance and function of your website, consider the following options:
Videos are a popular form of visual content. They appeal to a wide demographic of people who prefer to view their content rather than read it. Videos add another dimension to marketing and attract a varying audience of people.
On YouTube alone, millions of people upload videos for business and recreational purposes daily, and the demand for topic-specific videos continues to grow.
How do you start?
Consider creating videos to market your products and services. They are simple to put together and they do not need to be as “professional” as you might think. Either record yourself talking with an HD camera and upload it to your computer, or capture your screen with software such as Camtasia (video editing, $299) or Camstudio (basic screen capture, free).
Offer valuable information your target audience would like to see; helpful tips, product uses, tutorials, and other creative ideas. At a minimum, if you do not want to create your own videos, consider adding to your site related videos your visitors would enjoy.
Yes, images can also be identified as a form of visual content. Images evoke an emotion from your website visitors and add interest to your web pages. Imagine a website with just written text and no images. It would look boring and lifeless.
When choosing images, think about the people who comprise your target audience. Use images that would endear them to your website. If your site is corporate, add professional team photos or graphical depictions of your services. If you sell products, use images to convey how the consumer will use the product and what benefits they can derive from them.
Infographics are a type of image that includes text and is centered on one main topic. Essentially, they are creative, graphical representations of written content.
You can either create your own infographics or add others to your site to enhance your website’s user experience.
To find infographics, type your keyword along with the word “infographics” into Google. Search through Google Images to see hundreds of examples. Or, search Pinterest, a great resource for finding images. When you post your graphic, don’t forget to credit the original author.
I searched for “content ‘infographic’” in Google and found this helpful infographic that relates to this blog post. You can do the same with any topic or niche.
Tip: Creating your own infographic is not as easy as finding one already created, but if you can manage to create one, you can receive a lot of exposure for your website. Just make sure to keep the information factual and well-researched.
4. Product Reviews
Has anyone used your product and loved it?
Testimonials give social proof to what you are selling. Unbiased recommendations are the key to increased sales on the web.
Companies expand their reach online by creating brand ambassadors who go out and recommend their brand to their friends and peers. These “friends” are much more likely to purchase the product after hearing a friend’s recommendation rather than taking the company’s word for it.
This dynamic is what makes reviews and testimonials so effective. If you do not have any, contact your customers and ask for them. Offer incentives to sweeten the deal.
5. Case Studies
Case studies are effective for businesses that offer services. They provide your audience with proof that your product or service positively affects your customers and clients.
For example, if you offer internet marketing services, publish a case study where you compare your client’s results and stats before and after they worked with you.
Case studies are similar to product reviews in that they offer proof; however, in contrast to reviews, case studies do not originate from the consumer.
Any type of media you add to your site can be classified as content. As long as it is valuable to your visitor, it will enhance your website and expand your brand awareness on the web. Article Source: Niche Profit
