Week 2 Monday June 6, 2016: Just Getting Started
Daily Routines and Book Ending My Days. TGIM! Thank God It’s Monday. Starting off week 2 for Rise, Grind, and Shine. My personal trainer kicked my @$$ today. I thought I just could hop back into some physical activity. My whole body hurts. It makes me realize how fat and out of shape I am in. But you have to start somewhere.
I though I was going to explode on the scene with some massive results to report. Week 1 was challenging. I am developing some new habits and it was a shock to my normal routine. I did find a Toast Masters International group to join. As I mentioned last week I am expanding my circle of influence. I have joined another group of high achievers and they have welcomed me with open arms.
I have my daily routines for the next 30 days. I am experimenting seeing what is more effective for me. Darren Hardy of Success.com says you must experiment in all areas of your life to see what works better for you.
Morning Book Ending
I do what is called Book Ending your day. I learned this from The Compound Factor, by Darren Hardy. I wake up at 4:55am and immediately write down my BHAGs in a notebook. Then I listen to Proverbs. Next it’s 5-10 minutes with a visualization and meditation session I learned from Jack Canfield. I read for 30 minutes and do 30 minutes of a self improvement program. I finish with prayer and bible study. This constitutes my 2 hours of personal development.
Night Book Ending
Before I go to bed I read 5-10 pages of a book. I write in my journal to get all thoughts in my head on paper. I write out my BHAGs, do a little mantra about getting things done, and then finish off with prayer and an attitude of appreciation. Here is the Mantra I say before I go to bed:
“Tomorrow I will do everything that should be done, when it should be done, and as it should be done. I will perform the most difficult task first because this will destroy the habit of procrastination and develop the habit of action in its place.”
The books I am reading now are Black Genesis, by Robert Duval and The 10x Rule, by Grant Cardone. I do a weekly study and implementation of The Success Principle, by Jack Canfield and No More Excuses, by Brian Tracy.
Week 1 was more of laying the foundation. The process is in place and will be adjusted as needed. I will test what is working and quit doing things that are a distraction and wasting time. I need a new laptop and I have been shopping around. Waiting on Father’s Day so I can buy one on sale.
The tracking tools I am using are The 10x Journal and Living Your Best Life Ever. Both are excellent for keeping you on target. I have secured the funds to expand my internet business. Just waiting for them to be released. I have created a budget for the 1st 90 days. It will probably be another two weeks before my internet business is up and running.
Here are Week One Results:
Business: Internet Business Income $0. DFS Income: -$15.81
Health: 224.8lbs, A1c is above 12, Waist is 45in
