Retail Quarter and Winter is here for all us Game of Thrones fans, but something even more exciting is coming and we don’t need to wait a year for this one. Quarter 4 is coming and it’s the most wonderful time of the year for everyone in eCommerce!
I’ve already starting seeing posts and discussions about Q4 and I feel like there are some definite misconceptions floating around about what happens each and every year during this frenzy period. There’s no doubt you can make more money in Q4 than Q’s 1-3 combined, but it’s not as simple as saying, “ok its November, let’s 4x our sales.”
“Every product I launch will make $10,000 because the holidays are coming up.”
Fact = Sales and conversions overall will be up. People are in more of a buying mood as they have gifts to buy. That’s all great stuff.
But, the reality is you can’t expect to just flip a switch and have your ads all of a sudden turn into grand slam winners. I’d say overall your winners will perform better, but you’re still going to have to go out and do what every single eCom Entrepreneur does every single week – match good products with passionate customers. If you don’t do that, I don’t care what time of year it is, you won’t sell.

Fact = What you do right now and what you’ve done up to the start of Q4 IS THE NUMBER ONE REASON WHY you’ll have a great holiday sales season.
Email Marketing lists are worth gold during these months. When do you build that? Year round. Mature Facebook Pixels will turn your good ads into great ads and great ads into massive winners. When do you mature your pixel? Year round.
Custom Audiences will perform at their highest levels ever as your top value customers are ready to buy more. When do you build these audiences? Year round. Lookalike Audiences will produce countless found sales. When do you build the basis of these audiences? Year round. You get the picture.

Fact = You have to be focused and effective. Don’t get distracted by shiny new objects.
Furthermore if you have a full-time that is no excuse. When you work on your business only work on and in your business. The concept is simple not easy. It takes work. Don’t be fooled. You have to learn and earn.

6) Complete marketing strategy. Scale To Google, IG, Youtube, and direct mail to increase sales
I’d even go so far as to say if you have campaigns that are running at break even, scale the heck out of them! Maybe it’s breakeven right now, but those assets that you’ll create from generating these sales will be FREE MONEY come the holiday season.
